You're in my thoughts

Good morning! Last night I had a few rare minutes to whip together a card for a volunteer who is having surgery this week.  It didn't come without a certain someone wanting to chop up paper with craft scissors though...

Felicity only lasted 5 minutes before she was climbing on the desk.

I made a fairly east triple layer card. I don't have the matching stamp set that goes with this paper (can't have them all!) so I measured and cut up the paper to resemble it being stamped! It was pretty smooth sailing, but I realized I need new cutter blades.

I should make a lightbox! Soon the sun will be back with a vengeance!

In addition to the very minimal stamping, I added some rhinestones just to draw your eye toward the sentiment. They are much sparklier -is that even a word?- in person.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a stamptastic day!

TTS13 Challenge Card

Good afternoon! I'm totally late in the challenge game for this week. School and derby have been keeping me pretty busy. But, alas, I chug forward! I'll keep the commentary short and just post the card!

Here is the TTS13 challenge for this week:

  And here is my take:

Hope you enjoyed and be sure to play along with this week's sketch!

Have a stamptastic day!

Guest Designer TTS12

Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been slacking on my posts. I've been creating but just not posting. I'll try to catch up this week!

I am super excited to be a guest designer for the Tis The Season Challenge blog! This is a fairly new blog in the challenge blog world. I knew something was up when I saw a whole ton of Christmas cards after Christmas by my Christmas-loving friend Lisa at Snowy Moose Creations.

Here is my take on the color challenge:

This week was a color challenge, which for whatever reason I had a really difficult time with. I think I looked at 10 other sketches then scrapped those and just used my big tag die with the Christmas tag stamp. I had to substitute Soft Sky with Bashful Blue since I didn't have any, but besides that I added a few rhinestones and some shimmer mist to give it a more Christmas-y glow.

Thanks for stopping by and have a stamptastic day!!
