CARD CLUB DAY!!

I have never been more excited to go to a card club in my LIFE! I've been eyeballing all of these beautiful projects from afar, and I'm now finally a member! Even though I'll only be able to enjoy these benefits until June when we leave England. Oh well, bring on the fun while it lasts!!!

Before I add the club cards, I received a beautiful card from my dear friend Belinda!

Isn't it GREAT!! She used the  Elements of Style stamp set (Pg 133 in IB&C) and added a little crystal effects to enhance the center of the flower. She just started a blog, I'll update that once she's finished setting it up!  *UPDATE* http://studiobeedesigns.blogspot.com/  Check her out!!

On to the swaps I received. I'll only put a few on, other wise we'll be loaded down with pictures!! The theme was birthday.

This one is by the talented Mrs. Allison Nelhams
Kathy Pavloski, our gracious club demonstrator
Taleena Bennett with her rock star card!
Cassi ( I just met her, but is quite talented with her gift card holder!)
I don't know who made this one, but it's adorable! (and so manly!)

Mrs Jane Fisher, I found out our hubbies are TDY together. Lucky them....or us...? Hmmm...
Lisa Claxton with her purse card holder
I don't know who made this, I think it was the other Kathy...but I'll be casing this for Evan's birthday party invites! LOVE it and so simple! (mine will be pirates, of course!)

So, here are the projects we made today! I love them and were fairly easy to make!

This first one is sooo adorable (as they all are) It is a calender and post-it holder!! How handy is that! It would make the perfect companion to your purse, craft room, or even a gift!! This one uses A Sense of Time stamp set, which is in the current IB&C on pg. 127.  The paper pack is is a retired set, :( its so pretty!

This was the first one my group worked on. It is a "sucker" holder and Evan has decided that this is the treat he'd like to hand out for Valentines day to his first grade class. SO easy and adorable!! This used the new Love Impression paper pack in the new Occassions Mini, along with a punched out Whoo's your Valentine, which is a retired set. I chose the paper flowers and a black satin ribbon for embellishments.

This card is DARLING  (I'll have to wait for its arrival, though! Patience....patience... LOL! )I love the vintage feel of this set and, of course, the cute Puns from the Past stamps (pg. 139 IB&C, which I immediately ordered today!) This card also uses the new First Edition DSP from the Mini and you get SO much in that pack!! It's also black on the other side with white writing, for more crafty options! Also the cherry cobbler seam binding is new in the mini as well!! The lacy punch I'm told is a Martha Stewart punch, and will probably be a soon addition to my room!

I'm in such a crafting mood now!! Nothing like an event like this to get those juices flowin'!! I'll be sad when we PCS to Alaska, but I'll be putting a club together of my own!! I can't wait!!

Next month we are making an 8x8 cookbook! Our swaps will be 13 8x8 pages with our favorite recipe! (So many to choose from!)

Hope you enjoyed today's post!!

As always, have a scrap-tastic day!!

Club Swap

It's going to be a "Birthday Party" at Mrs. Kathy's home this Thursday!! To prepare for such an event, I have made 12 birthday swap cards. I think this will be my favorite part about going to this club; you get 12 TOTALLY different cards back!! So, a little elbow grease on my part, and I might not have to make a birthday card for a good while! We'll also be making a project, which I will update later on (its a secret...or maybe a surprise?)

Anywho...on with the card, right? I CASE'd (copy and share everything...its a crafter's motto!) from the very talented Tiffany Bauer at   http://mycraftyworld.blogspot.com/search/label/Cards-Birthday?updated-max=2010-01-15T21%3A00%3A00-05%3A00&max-results=20

I found her card on SU!'s Stampin' Connection site and knew I HAD to make it....so darling and easy!!

Sorry if my photography skills aren't as good as others. (I'll work on that too.) This card uses Pumpkin Pie, Taken with Teal and Whisper White card stocks The DSP (design series paper) is from the Sweet Pea Paper Pack, which I believe was from the summer 2010 Occassions Mini. (I have a deep LOVE for that pack, so many options!!!!) Some of my cards are using Peach Parfait (a current In Color) since I ran out of PP, it was my closest option.

Hope you enjoyed and have yourself a scrap-tastic day!!! Check back Friday for the swaps!!

A New Year's Resolution

SO, I know this is about 26 days late to be finally come up with a gonna-stick-to-it resolution for the year, but here goes. I am going to write on my blog more. That's it, easy peasy. Is it too simple? I think not. If it were any more difficult, it would be four more months before I wrote again. So, instead of any more boring rattling, I'll get on with the projects I've created over the months. Hope you enjoy!

Wish big was for my sister's 38th birthday! I love the colors!!! I love the template that I used for this card more. SO easy!! (I'll update with a picture of it) It is surely a no-fail card!
LOVE the Christmas Cards that I made. I cased these from the 2010 SU! Holiday Mini catalog.
A baby shower invitation for a friend. The back has a stamped image of a carriage. (Its hard to see)
First time using pastels above, I think it went alright. The flower card couldve been darker, but I didn't want the black to over power the coloring.
A favorite Non-SU! image. This one is Close to My Heart.
This baby card was for the gift of the baby shower we threw. I LOVE how it came out, and matched her son's nursery!
This butterfly card was cased out of the 2009-2010 catalog. This was for another friends baby shower with her gift.
This Journey card was cased with a slight change. I cased this from Sandy Laidlaw (http://www.stampinconnection.com/photo/sentimental-journey-7)

Hope you all enjoyed today's post. I'll add some more as soon as I know what is already here! I have to get my swap cards started for tomorrow's club meeting at Kathy's house. I'll also post those beauties up (I've been waiting SO LONG to get in on her club, so I'm beyond myself!!)

Have a scrap-tastic day!!
